Nutrition Services
Desmond Doss Health Clinic
The Desmond Doss Health Clinic offers a broad range of nutritional services designed to deliver patient-centered healthcare to Active Duty, Family Members and Retirees. Our Registered Dietitians provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education and counseling to assist you in modifying your diet to improve your health, fitness and performance. Our priority is patient care and satisfaction. The team is dedicated to meeting your needs and exceeding your expectations.
Due to the high volume of patients referred for nutrition education and counseling, individuals with common nutrition concerns such as weight control or heart health are often scheduled for a group education session before receiving an individual appointment to further customize nutrition recommendations.
Everyone is able to schedule an individual nutrition appointment with a Registered Dietitian 2-4 weeks after attending a class. Changes in nutrition and behavior are progressive and require reinforcement. Scheduling a follow-up visit 2-4 weeks after attending a group class or initial nutrition appointment is strongly recommended to help you further individualize your diet and for accountability purposes.
Common reasons to meet with a Registered Dietitian, including seeking information are:
Weight Management
Diabetes
Heart Disease
Kidney Disease
Cancer
Bariatric Nutrition
Pediatric Nutrition
Pregnancy Nutrition
Sport/Performance
Eating Disorders
