Physical Therapy
Description of Services
Physical therapy provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent long-term disability. Your physical therapist will perform a detailed interview and physical exam to determine your movement or functional limitations. The information gathered during the evaluation will allow your therapist to design a rehabilitation program to address your individual goals. DDHC Physical Therapy offers multiple classes and treatment modalities to include: therapeutic exercise, aquatics, yoga, run form evaluation, functional rehabilitation, speed and agility class, knee/back class, blood-flow restriction training, manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, soft tissue mobilization and traction.
Preparing for your visit
The Physical Therapy clinic is located in Building J of the Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic (DDHC). It is recommended that you park in the DDHC parking garage located off McCornack Road. There is also a parking lot between the PX and the parking garage. There is a third option, an open lot in front of the DDHC main entrance. There are designated handicap parking spots available. MSAs can coordinate over the telephone with patients who may be on crutches and need to be dropped off closer to the clinic. Please plan to arrive in the physical therapy department at least 10 minutes before your appointment time. You must also bring your valid military ID to your appointment.
